Discovery of the history and heritage of South Bugey.

10 am - Guided tour of the Maison d'Izieu, Memorial to exterminated Jewish children. Duration: 2 hours Discover the house, where the children and their teachers lived, dedicated to the memory of the Jewish children who took refuge in Izieu during the Second World War. Letters, drawings and photographs are on display. The barn is dedicated to the history of this period and offers a permanent exhibition on different themes. 12:45 - Lunch at the restaurant Le Café Neuf in Belley. - Salad du Neuf (cured ham, walnuts, Tomme de Yenne (cheese)) - Chicken escalope with mushroom sauce – Polenta fries - Speculoos tiramisu - Coffee or tea Drinks not included 3pm - Guided tour of the historic center of Belley. Duration: 2 hours Discover the heart of the old city through its cobbled streets, push the doors of the 15th century inner courtyards and discover the religious buildings that made its history, including the Saint Jean-Baptiste cathedral and the episcopal palace.
