Viewpoint in Vongnes

Charming little wine-growing village with traditional Bugist architecture, Vongnes can be discovered during a short stroll from its flower-filled streets to its viewpoint indicator.

To reach the viewpoint, follow the path that goes up right in front of the Caveau Bugiste in Vongnes for about 300 meters.

The viewpoint has a beautiful panorama of the Lavours Marsh, Grand Colombier and Mont Clergeon.

On site: Caveau Bugiste provides visitors with picnic areas in a flowery setting, children’s games and camping-car park (within a limit of 24h).

– Its stone trade tools museum.
– Its tastings of 12 grape varieties.
– Vinorama, an HD film presenting the region, its history, its vineyard, its gastronomy as well as all the explanations concerning the cultivation of the vine, the vinification of the different grape varieties, the distillation and the aging of alcohols.

Domaine Monin welcomes you from Monday to Saturday in its tasting cellar to help you discover its entire range of wines as well as many local cheeses.

Wine-grower and master artisan cheese maker, Domaine Monin invites you to its tasting cellar, to discover its entire range of wines, in the middle of the village of Vongnes.


360° viewpoint in Marignieu

The viewpoint in Marignieu offers a wonderful panorama in the middle of the village’s vineyards. It can be discovered during the walk through the vineyards starting from Maison Angelot, in the center of the village.

This walk of about 6 km crosses the charming wine village of Marignieu, the vineyards of the Maison Angelot. The loop is entirely marked.

A small parking lot is accessible in front of Maison Angelot.

To make the most of it

After the walk in the vineyard, the Maison Angelot welcomes you every day for a discovery of their wide range of wines.

Labeled High Environmental Value for its actions in favor of biodiversity, Maison Angelot also complies with the Charter of the Independent Winegrower.

Wines from the cellar: Bugey Blanc, Bugey Rouge, Bugey Traditional Method, Bugey Rosé, Roussette du Bugey, Marc and Fine du Bugey.

A few minutes from the orientation table and Lake Barterand, the Caveau Roux & fils welcomes you to discover its productions. As milk and eggs are produced in the family farm, organic products can bought on site as well.

Le Caveau is specialized in the traditional method sparkling wines: brut white, brut rosé, brut nature and semi-dry; but also to AOC Bugey wines: Roussette and Chardonnay in white, Pinot and Gamay in red, and rosé.
