It is possible to swim with your dog:
– At the pond of Glandieu.
– At the lake of Virieu-le-Grand out of the swimming area. - Is it possible to swim in the waterfalls?
– No, the waterfalls are sensitive natural areas. To preserve them, swimming, picnics and dogs are forbidden. Moreover, the waterfalls are not suitable for swimming, as falls on slippery rocks are frequent.
- Is it possible to swim in the gorges de Thurignin?
– No, like the waterfalls, the gorges de Thurignin are also sensitive natural areas where swimming is forbidden. The site is not adapted and includes dangerous zones (deep pools and strong water current in Spring).
- Is it possible to swim in the Rhône river?
– No, swimming is strongly discouraged.
- Are barbecues allowed in swimming areas?
– Barbecues are strictly forbidden in the swimming areas.
- Where to practice canoeing and kayaking?
– Several departure points are possible nearby: from Seyssel or Chanaz with Prolynx Sports, in Porcieu-Amblagnieu with Récré Activ or in the nature reserve of the Rhone islands, the Guiers and on the Aiguebelette lake with Vertes Sensations.

– Yes, in Bugey Sud, fishing on the Rhône, public domain 2nd category, is authorized in the following localities: Culoz, Lavours, Cressin-Rochefort, Massignieu-de-Rives, Nattages, Magnieu, Belley, Brens, Virignin, Murs-Gélignieux (Cuchet) and Saint-Benoit.
