With its panoramic views of the Alps, its isolated farms, its gentle relief, its wide open spaces and snowy forests, the Plateau de Retord is ideal for snowshoeing in the snow.

The Plateau de Retord includes 75 km of snowshoe trails spread over 11 marked snowshoe trails starting from the 3 access gates:
– Les Plans d’Hotonnes
– La Chapelle de Retord
– Cuvery
An itinerary of the Grande Traversée du Jura makes it possible to link the 3 gates over several days!
Equipment rental and catering is available in Les Plans d’Hotonnes and Cuvery.

In Lachat

The Lachat Mountain Center invites you to come and enjoy a breath of fresh air with both feet in the snow. Come and recharge your batteries with family, friends or groups in a small mid-mountain “resort”.

4 snowshoeing circuits of different levels cover the snowy combes of Lachat on this part of the Retord Plateau.

Snowshoe equipment rental is located at the start of the trails.

Every year, the Lachat Mountain Center organizes its traditional night snowshoeing evening with a gourmet aperitif. The opportunity to discover the Plateau de Retord from another angle in the moonlight in a festive atmosphere.
