“What on earth was he doing in that mess?” You’ll find out when you come and see the “schemes” of the cunning Scapin!

Synopsis 17th-century Naples. Two overbearing bourgeois fathers return from a trip with the firm intention of marrying off their sons, Octave and Léandre, to strangers. But whilst they were away, Octave secretly married a poor young girl and Léandre fell in love with an Egyptian woman. There is no question of them giving in to their fathers. They ask the cunning Scapin to help them. He has more than one trick up his sleeve to untangle these marital intrigues! He even manages to extract money from the two fathers by manipulating them. Unfortunately, his ‘schemes’ eventually come to light and the two ‘duped’ fathers decide to take their revenge! Yet, through an extraordinary twist that we won’t reveal here, everything works out, and love triumphs! But will Scapin be forgiven for his deceit?
