Pop/rock concert on 26 September at La Gevrinoise!
Simone et ses Chats (7.00 pm) + Cool on the bielle (9.30 pm).
Craft beers & the O pats burger food truck.
La Gevrinoise brasserie is hosting a big live music night on 26 September, featuring two pop/rock concerts, local craft beers and homemade burgers. Doors will open at 6.00 pm so guests can enjoy the bar and dining area, with the event scheduled to close at 1.00 am. Entry to the event is completely free of charge.
The first part of the evening will kick off at 7.00 pm with the band Simone et ses Chats. When Simone asks her cats to leave the tobacconist’s to go and sharpen their claws, it takes you on a journey through time, navigating the whims of a Nouvelle Vague style sprinkled with blues and laced with rock. The audience will be buffeted by the squalls and drenched by the spray of The Cure, the Pixies, Bashung, Ron Gallo, The Black Keys and many others, for a rough-and-tumble journey, full of tension and with claws out.
From 9.30 pm, Cool on the bielle will take to the stage. For thirty-odd years, this band—born out of festive inter-departmental gatherings—has been distilling its poetic compositions and reimagined tributes in its own unique style. With direct lyrics carried by ‘no-nonsense’ rock, they whisk the audience into a zany and iconoclastic world where unlikely encounters are anything but coincidental, keeping the show going until 11.30 pm.
As for the social atmosphere, the O Pats Burger food truck will be on site all evening, serving up its burgers to be enjoyed with craft beers from the brewery, served on tap.
