For the 1st of the European Heritage Days, the Bugey-Sud Community of Communes invites you to experience a magical moment of open-air contemplation and harmony with this 4-hand recital in the peaceful setting of the port of Virignin.

The piece to be performed by two international pianists is Franz Litszt's transcription for 2 pianos of Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
Often considered to be one of the greatest musical works of all time, Beethoven's 9th symphony is a call to fraternity and joy. Composed at the end of his life (1824), when he was becoming deaf, this piece is a musical setting of the Ode to Joy, a poem written in 1785 by Friedrich von Schiller. The work celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.
