This fountain bears witness to Flaxieu's rich past. Its origins remain a mystery, but it may date back to Gallo-Roman times. Its water was believed to have medicinal properties, as attested by the inscription on the pediment. The arch-shaped fountain was built at the end of the 15th century on the initiative of Aymon de Montfalcon, Bishop of Lausanne and brother of Hugonin, Lord of Flaxieu.
