Bugey Sud Grand Colombier Tourist Office is offering a tour of the old town of Culoz and the Château de Montveran.
Dominated by the Grand Colombier massif and bordered by the Rhône, the town of Culoz prospered from the Middle Ages onwards thanks to the vineyards and activities established around its river, the Jourdan. This industrial town, home to the CIAT company, also owes its fame to many famous people: the Serpollet brothers, Henry Dunant, Dr Poncet and the American writer Gertrude Stein.
The visit ends with the discovery of Montveran Castle, which has the distinction of belonging to the same family since the 14th century.
As part of the compulsory health measures in the fight against Covid-19, the Tourist Office will ask each participant to wear a mask from the age of 12. A physical distance of 1.50m between each participant will be set up and the guide-lecturer will be equipped with a visor.
Visits will be provided for a minimum of 5 people, 20 participants maximum.
This visit requires a habit of walking on paths and the wearing of adapted shoes. You should also bring a hat and a bottle of water.
