The Espace Aguascalientes is hosting an exhibition of works by Sylvain Durantet. Entitled ‘Pierres flottantes’ (Floating Stones), the exhibition showcases slate imprints on fine mulberry paper.
Sylvain Durantet is a sound designer, musician and teacher.
He explores the plasticity of sound through the concepts of edge and imprint, combining audio-naturalistic sound recording, field recording and improvisation. He shares his approach in workshops open to the general public, promoting listening and collective creation as tools for exchange and expression. A collaborative creator, he works on projects combining music, visual arts and dance, notably Le Troglographe and Castor Morse.
Following Au bureau des rêveries sonores (2022), he will release his second album, Vibrante nuée, blonde, des blaches, in 2025. Always in search of new horizons, his sound work explores the links between technology, the environment, humans and non-humans in a poetics of environments.
