Daran has been a familiar name for some time now, first as frontman of the French band Daran et les Chaises and then as a solo artist. Above all, he is the author of 10 studio albums and 1 live album in 26 years.

Huit barré, his second album, released in 1995, catapulted him to the forefront of the French rock scene, thanks in particular to the hit Dormir dehors. This legendary album was recently re-released by Warner for its 30th anniversary, in a double-vinyl collector's edition with numerous bonuses.

After numerous collaborations with Miossec and Yarol Poupaud, as well as Johnny, Francis Cabrel, Maurane and Jane Birkin, Daran announced his comeback in 2025 with an 11th album, Grand Hotel Apocalypse.

Daran is back with incisive rock and strong melodies. The ingredients: Bass, guitar and drums. 11 songs on Daran's favourite themes: freedom, lost loves, the quest for self and, above all, the human being at the centre of every story.

Written, produced and recorded between Montreal, Brittany, Mexico and California, Grand Hôtel Apocalypse is an album that will undoubtedly go down in history, if the rave reviews it has received from the media and the public are anything to go by.
