Cinema fascinates, cinema intrigues, cinema is a way of keeping memory alive.
That's why, in 2025, Maison d'Izieu's cultural programme will include several opportunities for encounters with the 7th art. -
Through a "PARENTS/CHILDREN: each to their own activity" session, the Musée-Mémorial is addressing youngsters and adults alike to explore the history of the Colonie and the Shoah.
On the one hand, Benoît Letendre is back to help children discover the objects used in old-time cinema, the principle of the magic lantern and how to make a thaumatrope.
In the next room, a lecture is given on the different representations of the Shoah in the cinema, based on film extracts.
