Workshop to discover the profession of reporter for 8-12 year olds at the Foyer Rural

Two days to discover what it's like to be a reporter, with a microphone and a sharp eye. Supervised by the Story MILCATS team, the children will conduct their own investigation into life in rural areas.
In the morning, it's all about preparation: research, choosing subjects and formulating questions. In the afternoon, filming in the field: interviews, micro pavements in the streets of the village, filmed testimonies.
The young reporters will meet the Mayor and the Town Hall Secretary to get a behind-the-scenes look at a rural commune. They'll also be interviewing each other, getting the views of those who were ‘born here’ and new arrivals.

Filming equipment is provided. The videos will be published on Petit Bugiste and Grand Curieux and via the Foyer Rural. The aim is to encourage expression, critical thinking, curiosity and listening skills, while learning about the tools used to produce information.
