Listed as a historic monument, it became a place of national remembrance along with the Vélodrome d'Hiver and Camp de Gurs 30 years ago, in 1993.
Inside, only the classroom has been "reconstructed". Sabine Zlatin's intention was to use the void to evoke the absence of the children. In the refectory, we find their letters and drawings that bear witness to their daily lives. In the former dormitories, portraits pay tribute to each of the 44 children rounded up.
Practical information: entry to the house will be staggered to respect the safety gauges.
