The La Pierre d’Amyon theatre company believes in theatre that is accessible to all, encouraging people to rediscover the joy of coming together, sharing a moment as a community, and discovering stories that resonate with our lives and our local area.

Founded in June 2021, the Compagnie la Pierre d’Amyon is dedicated to creating a vibrant and imaginative form of rural theatre, deeply rooted in the Bugey and Valromey regions and closely connected to the people who live there. The company champions a form of open-air theatre that is both challenging and accessible, inviting audiences to rediscover the joy of coming together, sharing a moment as a community, and discovering stories that resonate with our lives and our region. Its performances are designed to reach out to audiences and take place in a variety of venues, both familiar and unexpected: village halls, village squares, schools, chapels, heritage sites, gardens… All these spaces are transformed, for the duration of a performance, into venues for theatre, for connection and for shared imagination.
