  • Located near the village of Izieu the Grand Thur is 758m high and at its summit it gives some fantastic views over the southern part of Bugey.

  • This hike is approximately 6km long and rises 400m from its point of departure to the top of the Grand Thur. It takes about 2.5 hours to complete and is suitable for families and inexperienced hikers. The way to the summit is signalled firstly by yellow and red markers then as one progresses by white and red ones and finally yellow markers near the top.
