Feet in the Local®! Farm visit: Le Jardin du Pré Neuf

Throughout the month of October and early November, every Saturday afternoon, the Bugey Sud Grand Colombier Tourist Office offers you the visit of local farms.
The opportunity to discover unique know-how!

Létitia and Sébastian settled a little over 2 years ago now at a place called Lachat, near the Gland River and a few kilometers from the Glandieu waterfall to set up their market gardening activity.
They bought the former restaurant of the Gland to make it their dwelling house and point of sale, which is open 2 afternoons a week, Tuesdays and Fridays.

The farm, in organic conversion, with an area of 1.5 hectares, hosts 7 greenhouses of 1500m² for the cultivation of vegetables and 2 smaller greenhouses for seedlings, which ensures optimal production throughout the year. Other crops are grown in the field, such as leeks, potatoes or sweet potatoes, to name a few.

At Léticia and Sébastian, nothing is lost, everything is transformed. At peak production and throughout the seasons, the surplus of vegetables is sent to a processing unit that sublimates the vegetables into velvet, coulis or pestou, which you will find in the shop
