The opportunity to discover unique know-how!
In the small hamlet of Samonod, in the town of Valromey sur Séran, Lauryane and Emmanuel put down their suitcases a little over a year ago now after having been looking for several years for a farm to make their project a reality. Lauryane is from Bugey and Emmanuel from the Basque country. Located at 400 m altitude, right next to the castle of Hostel, the farm has a hundred head of cattle (Savoy goat and Thones and Marthod sheep)
In their small cheese factory located on the roadside, open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 12.30pm and from 3pm to 6.30pm, the young couple currently produces lactic cheeses and tomettes (for sheep, Ossau Iraty style) but they have plenty of other projects.
Cheese tasting at the end of the visit
