Concert by the Quatuor Debussy

The Quatuor Debussy reinterprets Mozart's Requiem, revisited for string quartet by Peter Lichtenthal. The Quatuor Debussy has opted for a complete rewriting of the manuscript, as faithful as possible to Lichtenthal's arrangement. The quartet will be performing an 'off-stage' concert in Belley cathedral, highlighting the talent of another musical giant, Dmitri Shostakovich, of whom the four musicians from Lyon are fervent admirers and considered specialists today. With his 'Elegy' and the autobiographical 'Quartet No. 8', the Debussy ensemble will reveal the composer's strength through an intimate and personal requiem.
